Description Amber Stone is a dark, resinous amber with a savoury, herbal opening and a base of worn leather and birch tar. It is one of the three fragrances in The First Relics, the 2026 debut collection from Landcaster, a young niche house built around natural materials at very high concentration. Most ambers start sweet; this one starts green and savoury, with celery seed, coriander and bay leaf. Myrrh, ylang-ylang and patchouli form a smoky, faintly floral heart, and the base is thick with Peru balsam, benzoin, labdanum, oakmoss, vetiver, leather and birch. The result is closer to an old leather-bound amber than a vanilla one. The leather share is the birch and leather in the base, not oud, and the small sweet part comes from benzoin and Peru balsam. The celery seed opening is unusual and can surprise people who expect a sweet amber; give it half an hour before you judge it.
