Description Present Gambit is a tropical, spiced woody scent: passion fruit, guava and Sichuan pepper over lavender and hinoki, drying down to driftwood, oakmoss and vanilla. It was first released in 2023 as F7, one of the numbered early fragrances from Toskovat, the Romanian house of self-taught perfumer David-Lev Jipa-Slivinschi. Retailers describe it as an ode to travel. The opening is a busy mix of passion fruit, apple, lime, guava, clove, anise and basil. Lavender, geranium, jasmine and nectarine give the heart a floral-fruity side, with hinoki, cedar and rosewood running through it, and the base is marine woods, balsam fir, ambergris, sandalwood and a soft vanilla.
