Petrichor is an ode to orris, but not in the typical fashion. It’s reminiscent of cold, wet dirt, while at the same time carrying a specific luminescence. There is a rooty and shimmering effect, undeniably like the scent of fresh rain on dirt and cold stone. Conceptual, cold, dry, powdery, dramatic and avant-garde. Each fragrance in The Garden Collection evokes an aspect of a secret garden: cold stone, flowers budding and dried, strewn about tea leaves and tarot cards, and a locked wooden gate.
