Description Maui is a citrus chypre built to outlast its own brightness — blood orange, yuzu and bergamot over a tropical floral heart anchored by real Papua and Bengkulu oud, oakmoss and frankincense. Released in 2026 by Lost Tribe and composed by Matthew Schmuelian and Rajesh Balkrishnan , it was created from a customer’s request for a tropical citrus that actually lasts. Every ingredient is natural and sustainably sourced. The top is a generous stack of fourteen cold-pressed citrus notes, the heart is lush with tuberose, frangipani, blue lotus and champaca, and the base grounds it all in two varieties of wild-harvested oud, oakmoss and frankincense — the classic chypre structure that gives citrus staying power. Scent Character Bright, tropical citrus anchored by an earthy chypre base. The opening is a burst of blood orange, yuzu, bergamot and grapefruit — joyful and generous. Tuberose, frangipani and blue lotus add a lush floral middle. The real oud and oakmoss in the base keep it from vanishing the way citrus fragrances usually do.
