Federico CantelliPopcorn Cake

If you've ever heard the phrase "it does what it says on the bottle," then you already understand what Popcorn Cake is all about. Butter-drenched, freshly popped popcorn, salted and toasty, transports you into a comfortably well-worn seat at your favorite movie theatre, giddy with anticipation as the lights dim. Then, the cake--impossibly rich, with vanilla, butter, and brioche delivering the intensely savory and sweet facets with equally mouthwatering aplomb--provides the perfect gourmand base for the still fresh-from-the-bag popcorn note. It's popcorn. It's cake. Most of all, it's a unique and delicious sensory experience you won't be able to resist.
